Even as some media claims to retell the old stories, other films take the essential plots and elements of the myths and recreate new stories around them. Smart moviemakers know that there's a reason myths stuck around so long -- they speak to the basic experience of being human, the stuff that "really matters." You can find pieces of myth scattered all over the landscape of modern film, television, and music, but there are a few really interesting examples.

Again, I want you to watch one of the flms below and answer the homework questions. You shouldn't have a problem finding these films, and they kinda span a range of genres and time periods. Good luck - if you have questions, let me know.
